Your Story Begins
Beginning Creative Writing Workshop
This fun and supportive class is geared toward beginning creative writers—writers who are beginning to explore what they want to write about or writers who have been writing in solitude for a while but have rarely or never shared their work with others.
In class, you'll receive structure and guidance around creating new work as we discuss the foundations of storytelling: plot, character, setting, and voice. Later classes in the workshop focus on students sharing their work with the class. Through thoughtful, supportive, and lively discussion, we help each student better reach the aims of his or her story.
This class is a small, friendly group of around 6–12 writers. Come ready to create, laugh, and connect!
